In 2024, the UK witnessed over 47,000 dwelling or home fires, raising questions about the preparedness of the fire service to effectively assist autistic individuals affected by such emergencies. With 251 recorded fatalities in 2024, the necessity of addressing this issue becomes paramount, although the specific number of neurodiverse individuals among the casualties remains undisclosed.
